Why do guys tease girls?

I dont mean like calling you rude names, i mean like teasing you about who he saw you with, or making up dorky nick names and calling you that because he know it will get a reaction!



so heres the deal with this guy, i've known him for 7 months, and ever since i started liking him (sad i know) and i've always gotten the feeling theres something there.



around 2 months ago over the summer we hungout, talked all the time and he finally told he he really does love me, and i asked if he ment it and he said he did. and he said it a few times after at random times or when we were talking at night. and i said i loved him too.



then things got weird? and we didnt talk for a week, then we slowly started talking again. and now he talks to me everyday like he used to.



at school i ALWAYS somehow run into him, it's weird, its like he knows where i am! i'll be out for lunch and he ends up there and even waits outside.. and then i have to pass him when i leave.

whenever i walk past him in the halls he doesnt really look at me, or say hi but he makes SOME kind of noise and then i'll look, i've smiled before but he just looks down or away.



now tonight he asked how my night was, and i mentioned what i did, and he was asking about guys? or who i danced with. and i said i wasnt in the mood to dance with guys (secretly because i wished he was there!) so he joked about me liking this one guy because he tried dancing with me, then i said ohhh yeah for sure (sarcasticly) hes like gross, i thought you had HIGHER standards. (i think he ment him because well it was 100% obvious before that we liked eachother)



anyways, he jokes around and i just don't know what hes thinking.

i REALLY love this guy, and we're in highschool but i don't get it, we didnt even get to kiss before he like freaked out or something and now SLOWLY we're getting back to normal.



sometimes he'll flirt and make little comments about how he'd help me with something if i mentioned it.

wow okay you need a job, too much time on your hands thinking about the smallest things, just ask yourself one thing before you get all stressed over something, ';will it matter in 100 years?';
It sounds like he really cares about you. It seems that you have done anything really ';relationship'; type things, so I would say something to him like: ';I think we owe it to ourselves to see what we would be like...you know...together';. Or if you don't want to be that cheesy just come right out and say ';are you ever going to ask me out?'; ';I mean it seems like you like me';

Oh, and he is probably teasing you because he wants to have inside jokes with you and make you laugh, its a sign he likes you.

sounds like you've got some growing up to do. typical high school girl. you dont know anything about love yet shut up. as for that guy, it sounds like he's stalking you a lil bit. he makes jokes about other guys to make sure your not actually interested in them, and teasing is just another way guys flirt some times.
