Fashion design or dance for high school? school offers neither so it would be extra curricular?

i really want to be a fashion sketch artist and then turn the clothes into reality, but i also love to dance for fun, but I would not want to dance for a living. My mom second guesses doing competition dance because they make youung girls sometimes do akward dance moves with guys and wear bikini clothes, but i love dancing. i also have bad knees, not terrible, but they get sore easily and are sensitive and my hips always crack, so she says i could never do it, but some dance studios offer teams that dont have to go there 8 hours a week, but maybe have about 4 classes for 1 comp. dance, right? but i dont think i could handle my homework with all the dance and trying to become a designer. so then i go back to fashion, but how can i learn? i try to look at a pattern but freak out, it takes hours to finish one top that turns out ugly! i go to a private christian school so i have

Focus on your fashion and let the others be hobbies for once in awhile when you get time..

Example: focus on taking some sowing lessons to better your skill. Some art classes could also help.

When it comes to dancing, as someone else mentioned, do it at home. When able to, do a drop in class. (1 time a week). Plus, better on your body to get strength, not over do it and learn new things to do at home or with friends (we used to make up our own dances to songs at my house etc). It was way funner.

You nor your parents can't afford nor have the time do 4 to 8 hour classes, on top of fashion design, on top of school and on top of daily life. I know, I juggled ROTC (physical fitness and drill team), horses (4-H shows/horse judging, arts/craft/ meetings etc), dance (belly and also now pole as an adult) etc. It is a hetic and expensive schedule.Fashion design or dance for high school? school offers neither so it would be extra curricular?
as u r interested in fashion design and if u have creativity this is fine and good whenever u find time do work on fashion designing on paper and when u feel bored or unhappy sad u try to dance for hot music dances

as well u said that u r also intersted in dance but just for fun then u can just dance in front of the television

i mean u try to do the dance as the people who dance in the t.v u dont need to go to some one and learn the dance and spend the time there
Is it dance or competition that you are interested in? Because many dance schools do not compete and offer wonderful (and fun) instruction. You say you want to compete, but don't necessarily want to put in the time required. In dance you get out what you put in, and this holds true for competition dance as well. A dance school that offers good instruction would probably not let you compete if this is your first year of dance because it takes time to build the skills necessary for competition. Why not start with recreational classes that meet once or twice a week and then decide if you have the passion to continue to a competition level? Then, you can also focus on your homework and spend time perfecting your sewing and design skills as well. Best of luck to you!
danceeeeee!!!

you could just do one lesson a week at a local dance school, which shouldn't strain you too much

also fashion design would be fun, try an evening course at a local college
