Help! I Dont know how to freak dance! (GRIND)(GUY)?

This is my first high school dance. And I don't know how to freak dance with a girl. Don't answer if you're just gonna make fun of me.

I know this is going to sound a bit odd, but do you have a large mirror where you can see yourself completely? If you don't know how to dance and don't want to take dance classes you should practice in front of a mirror. There you will see if your moves are stiff or exaggerated, which you don't want to be on the dance floor. Work on posture, on the speed of your hips and the way you move with different songs playing on the background.



*Watch a few dance videos and see how the guy moves. You know, the sway of the hips, the way he angles them and the position of the feet, since you got to place yourself in a proper position to grind and bending your knees is a must.



*Practice balance. You don't want to lose it while swaying on the dance floor, so bend your knees and angle your feet like the guy in the video you're watching to make sure you can maintain the position for a while.



*Grab a broom. This sounds like some odd joke, but holding the broom while you dance against it show you how well you can sway your hips. I suggest you practice as much as you can. Not every guy dances the same, so remember to keep your limbs loose as you dance.



*Don't just focus on your moves. Sway with the beat. Sometimes its easier to move with the tempo of the song playing. Also, the way you move has to match the way your dance partner moves and most of the time its the girl setting the pace so watch how you interlock neatly on the dance floor if you keep up with her. Remember, the girl is supposed to highlight you, so you just have to sway with her. The grind (male) is a masculine version of the woman's slow and sensual or upbeat grooving, so if you apply that you can even watch Ciara dance and add that masculine touch to the slow swaying.



*Have fun! Dancing is a way to meet and romance new people. It's also a way of relieving stress, so don't get bothered if you've never done this before and have fun with it. Just practice! Don't stress, okay? Not only will you break out but it might be blocking your moves.

Dance near a person you want to grind with. Keep in mind that many people may not be comfortable grinding with someone they do not know. If the person takes notice of you, and acknowledges you, approach them and ask if they'd like to dance. Never ask if they'd like to grind. If you know for sure the person is a grinder, assume the correct positions (one person, usually the guy, directly behind the other). If you are unsure, start off with some distance between your hips. If your partner starts getting a little closer, then you can get a little closer.



Dance with your hips together. While normally the guy is behind the girl, there are not strict rules saying you can't switch things up. If you're at the front, move your end area around in a pattern at around crotch level of your partner. You're in control. If you're behind someone else, follow her movements. The pelvises can be directly aligned, or slightly off so that one of the rear person's legs is between the front person's legs.





? If you are the rear dancer, it's best to start with your hands on the person's hips, then move them a bit (like to his/her waist, or on his/her stomach) when you get more comfortable. Be cognizant of his/her body language; many people do not like dancing with pushy partners.



? If you are feeling uncomfortable, move your partner's hands back to your hips or waist or wherever you want them. Just because you are grinding does NOT give someone permission to grope you. If you move your partner's hands where you feel more comfortable, and they try to move them back, just stop grinding and walk away from that person.



Join a grinding chain. Sometimes a group of people start grinding together. Usually it's a mix of men and women alternating, or just women. Sometimes two women will ';sandwich'; a man, and others latch on.

Guys may experience an erection while grinding. If this happens, don't be embarrassed. An erection is your body's natural response to this kind of friction. If you still feel uncomfortable, there are a few things you can do to hide it.





Bend your knees so that the bottom of your stomach is the area getting the most friction.

Turn so that they are grinding your knee.

If repositioning does not work, you may want to excuse yourself for a few minutes to let things settle down.

If all else fails ';pull up and tuck';.

If you know you're going to be grinding somewhere wear tight underwear.

If you're in the rear and grinding with someone shorter than you, and you continually grind with the same leg between hers, you could get cramping and aches. To avoid this, simply change up your position once in a while.

Yeah i can be tough for a guy if he dont know how to do that but

it worse for us girls too!!! :D
