How do you know if a date is comfortable to grind with at a dance?

hi im a guy in high school and my winter formal is coming up. i've been to a few dances and about half of my dates were cool with grinding but half weren't. soo i know who im going to ask but i have no idea whether or not she's cool with it. it could go either way. i wanna know for sure, so that i dont try and she freaks out and its awkward for the rest of the night. i aslo dont want to be awkward in finding out. is there a casual way to find out if shes cool with grinding whether at the dance or hanging out before?How do you know if a date is comfortable to grind with at a dance?

or what kind of music do you like to dance too

is she sounds akward answering it or if she tries to

put it off then she might not know how.
